The Career
I spent over 25 years inside Heineken, one of the world's largest multinationals. I led teams across markets, drove high-performance cultures, and navigated the kind of corporate complexity that looks effortless from the outside but takes everything you have on the inside.
I was good at it. I was promoted. I delivered results. And for a long time, I thought that was enough.
The Moment Everything Changed
During the pandemic, the noise of corporate life went quiet. And in that quiet, I had to face something I'd been avoiding: the beliefs about my own worth and my own right to be loved had been running my career from the shadows. Every time I over-prepared for a meeting, every time I said yes when I meant no, every time I made myself small so others could feel big... those weren't professional choices. They were survival strategies built on a foundation I'd never examined.
Confronting that was the hardest thing I've ever done. It was also the most liberating. I left Heineken not because I was running away from corporate life, but because I'd found something more important: helping other leaders have the same realisation before it takes them 25 years.
What I Bring That Other Coaches Don't
I grew up in Taiwan and built my adult life in the US. I carry both Eastern and Western perspectives, not as a philosophy I studied, but as a lived experience of navigating between two worlds. That means I can meet you wherever you are: if you need structured goal-setting and accountability, I can do that. If you need to sit with discomfort and find what's underneath the performance, I can do that too.
Most importantly, I've done the work myself. I'm not asking you to go somewhere I haven't been. The questions I ask you are questions I've asked myself. The vulnerability I invite is vulnerability I've practised.
